there has been a LOT of things going on behind the screen of Allen Zaki Photography. For the past three months I've been shooting a lot of stuff, however, no one has seen the images because I've been waiting for them to be published. So, needless to say, keep your eyes peeled this Summer 2011, there will be a lot of exciting new imagery coming out.

2010: What An Amazing Year Its Been!

Hello World,

this is my 100th post, and the last day of 2010! What an extraordinary year it has been, with everything I have accomplished within the past twelve months.

I have been blessed to have made it through 2009 (financially) and now I'm finishing up my second year in business, Allen Zaki Photography. I've photographed SOOOOOOOO many people and things in 2010, that I am so proud of, and even more ecstatic for what's to come in 2011!!

Below is a sampling of all the things I've shot in 2010, and I'd like to thank EVERYONE who has helped me accomplish all this great work! My AMAZING TEAMS of artists, all the publicists, celebrities, friends, and family, without whom I couldn't have made it through this year!

Its been an amazing journey, and I know there are only hundreds/thousands of good things to come for me and my business in 2011!!!

Here's to new beginnings, and the unexpected future! Happy New Year!!!

Above are the images/cover shoot I did for BE! Magazine with CSI: Miami Star Eva La Rue. It was a blast to work with such an amazingly beautiful and talented actress here in Hollywood. We shot this back in June, and it is now the cover of BE! Mag Oct. Issue.

Miss Molly Shea: BE! Magazine March 2010

I had the pleasure last month to photograph the beautiful Molly Shea from E!'s Sunset Tan. She's known as one half of the "Olly Twins" but she is now on her own, and making a name for herself here in Hollywood!

The image above is my candid "fan pic" with Miss Molly Shea. Keep your eyes open for the editorial spread in BE! Magazine's March Issue, on stands this coming week (March 22-26th).

Update: February 2010

Hello World,

just a little update. Been busy working on a few projects, primarily trying to catch up on post-production. The images from the "Gap" inspired shoot are coming out very well, and my French Chic Black and White shoot is going into post via my retoucher Joseph Alexander.

I recently shot a lookbook for new menswear line James Larence (Monday Feb 8th).

Today I shot a casting call for an ad campaign (which I can't disclose). It was my first casting call of that proportion, for a major ad company, I shot over 150 actors/models. It was very interesting to see all the faces and personalities.

Other than that, I'm just trying to keep busy and make money working on new upcoming projects.

NEW LOGO

Hello World,

if you haven't noticed already by the header on my blog, there is a NEW LOGO for ALLEN ZAKI PHOTOGRAPHY.

Its a new year and a new me! This is the new logo (above), co-designed with help from my friend and designer Don Valenzuela. It represents the "old-school" wax seal, with the new age feeling of shutter release cables surrounding the "Z" in the center.

Although I'm a contemporary photographer, I still do shoot with polaroids and film when I can. Which is seen as "old-school" or an art form now a days. So my logo represents the combination of contemporary photography with a twist of classic style.
