NEW LOGO

Hello World,

if you haven't noticed already by the header on my blog, there is a NEW LOGO for ALLEN ZAKI PHOTOGRAPHY.

Its a new year and a new me! This is the new logo (above), co-designed with help from my friend and designer Don Valenzuela. It represents the "old-school" wax seal, with the new age feeling of shutter release cables surrounding the "Z" in the center.

Although I'm a contemporary photographer, I still do shoot with polaroids and film when I can. Which is seen as "old-school" or an art form now a days. So my logo represents the combination of contemporary photography with a twist of classic style.

Update: "Gap" Advertising Inspired Shoot

Hello World,

About three weeks ago, the beginning of January, I worked on a fashion shoot inspired by the 2007 "Gap Inc" advertisements. I'm trying to update my portfolio with images that are more Advertising Based, and less editorial. Reaching out to larger clients is what 2010 is all about for Allen Zaki Photography.

BTS: Snaps from French Chic Fashion Shoot

Hello World,

I had an AMAZING time working with my new GLAM SQUAD yesterday: Toni Ferrara (stylist), Mathias Alan (makeup) and Danee Smith (Hair).

We did this awesome French ChicBlack and White shoot in my friend Phil Sanchez's studio in Downtown LA. We worked with fabulous model Anna @ Photo[genics and Jadrianne "JJ" @ Models International. We shot over 13 looks, and will be sending it out for publication soon. The story is based on Black and White's its going to be HOT!

GELLEED MAGAZINE: Hot Sexy Editorial

The images above are from the Hot and Sexy editorial I shot back in November 2009 for Gelleed Magazine. I have recently released them on my site, they aren't out in the magazine yet, it won't come out till Spring 2010, however they were intended for the December 2009 issue. Therefore, I've asked to release them because I love the images so much.

Happy New Year, Happy New Me!

Hello World,

Happy New Year! Its officially 2010 (obviously) and its a new Allen Zaki Photography! I've designed a new logo, and I'm working on the new website, and I'm also SHOOOOTING a lot!

New work, new year! January is great, and I look forward to seeing what is to come for 2010! I hope you are all doing well, and enjoying your beginnings of this new decade.
